FISH FRY SAT. NIGHT! - JAN 26, 2008

The 11 th Annual B.B.G.D. Fish Fry to benefit GREENEBUCS will be held from 6:00 – 12:00 PM on Sat. Jan. 26, 2008 at the IUE-CWA LOCAL 755 UNION HALL, 1675 WOODMAN DR. IN DAYTON . We will have many games of chance, raffles and door prizes and of course plenty of fish, chicken, sausage, beer & soda. Please remember you must be at least 21 yrs of age to attend. PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT GREENEBUCS , www.greenbucs.org .

Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at the door. Tickets can be picked up or bought at any of our meetings or events or you can call the message line at 937-640DAWG (3294), Randy @ 545-8182 or go to our website, www.bbgd.com . Leave your name, phone # or e-mail address and the number of tickets you need. WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS AND DOOR PRIZES FOR THIS EVENT.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION:

We are asking volunteers to get to the hall by 4:00 pm for a short meeting to get organized and eat before the fish fry starts @ 6:00.

HOUSE OF BREAD VOLUNTEERS

The B.B.G.D. will soon be volunteering at the House of Bread, 9 Orth Ave. in Dayton . The House of Bread is the largest community kitchen in the Dayton area. Without volunteer groups, it would be impossible for their small staff to prepare and serve complete quality meals. Some of the tasks we will assist in are: wrapping silverware, counting trays, wiping down chairs & tables along with kitchen tasks. The hours are from 11 – 1 pm. We will set a date(s) when we will volunteer and will have them in our next newsletters.

B.B.G.D. 2007 FOOTBALL POOL

The winner of the B.B.G.D. football pool is Robert Houk. Rob blew away the competition with a 10-1 record. Rob receives a ticket to the B.B.G.D. Annual Post-Season Banquet, Sat. May 10 th .

CHILI COOK OFF-RESULTS

The B.B.G.D. held its annual chili cook-off Tues. Jan. 8 th . Our top three winners were: 3 rd place, Larry Kopa, 2 nd place, Bill Forsthoefel and 1 st place went to Laura Obermeyer. Congratulations Laura and thanks to all of our participants & judges. Sam Miller was the winner of the 50/50 raffle.

EIGHTEENTH ANNUAL POST SEASON BANQUET NEWS

Mark your calendars for Sat. May 10, 2008 for the Eighteenth Annual B.B.BG.D. Post Season Banquet to be held at the Holiday Inn-Dayton Mall, 31 Prestige Plaza, Miamisburg , Ohio . This is always the B.B.G.D.'s premier event of the year. We are currently working to get players to appear along with emcee Doug Dieken.
