BBGD CHANGES
The Browns Backers of Greater Dayton has been impacted by the resignation of 4 of its 6 executive board officers, that have each served for over 6 years or more leaving only Randy Dodson, President and Larry Kopa on the board. We are still looking for current and/or former board members to serve on the executive board. If you would like to serve on the board, please submit your name to the BBGD, Attn: Randy Dodson, P.O. Box 292183, Kettering Oh 45429. Membership dues of $25 including renewals are to be mailed into the same address.

BBGD STATUS
An officers nomination and election meeting was held in July, however, there were only a handful of individuals who attended this meeting and there were no nominations and/or volunteers to become a board member. Based on the foregoing, there BBGD still exists, however, we will not be able to have the benefit of doing all the fun things as we have done in the past like our annual Kettering Holiday at Home Parade, Fish Fry and post season banquet. In addition, we will not be able to have any of our regular first Monday of the month meetings nor will we be able to publish our monthly newsletters or will we be able to have any of our "Bar of the Month" gatherings and "Sponsorships" this year as Randy is not available due to his current job requirements and there is just no way that one board member can do this. Membership dues will be used to help pay for our Message Line, our P.O. Box and several other administrative expenses that we have. This was determined to be the best approach for keeping the BBGD in an "active", but limited status verses shutting down the BBGD in its entirety. Needless to say, the NFL Owners and NFL Players actions did not help in any way to the kinds of things that our BBGD needs to do so many months in advance to simply keep the ship afloat. Questions may also be directed to Randy at (937) 545-8182 (cell).

BBGD BUS TRIP
We will still have a game day bus trip to the Cleveland Browns Stadium for the opening day game on 11 Sept verses the Bengals at 1:00 pm. Our most recent news letter includes a ticket request form. The prices is $85 per ticket and includes your bus transportation, lunch and game day ticket in the Dawg Pound. Tickets are being sold first come first serve. Requests need to be mailed into the BBGD, Attn: Randy Dodson, P.O. Box 292183, Kettering Oh 45429. Buses will be departing from the Woodlane Plaza (Dorthy Lane and Woodman Dr.) at 6:30 am on the 11th. There is no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased. Tickets will be handed out that morning.

GAMEDAY PARTY
While we do not have and official game day sponsors this year, Ron's Pizza in Miamisburg has already offered to do a game day party on the 18th of Sept for the 1:00 pm game verses the Colts in Indy. Your support for all the folks at Ron's Pizza will be greatly appreciated. BBGD members and Browns fans are also encouraged to watch the Browns at any of our prior Game Day Sponsorship sites to include Clancy's Tavern in Riverside, Milano's in Beavercreek, The Filing Station on Linden Ave. in Riverside, Harrigan's Tavern in Kettering, Cadillac Jack's in Miamisburg, Buffalo Wings and Rings in Centerville and Romer's Bar & Grill in Bellbrook.

VOLUNTEERS
NEEDED
Part of what makes a successful Browns Backers Group is the volunteers
that help out during the year with the Chapter Meetings and Special
Events. Some events like the Fish Fry require the participation
of many volunteers. At least 100 people worked in previous
years.
