DRAFT DAY PARTY SATURDAY APRIL 25TH AT SLYDERS TAVERN The BBGD will be having a Draft Day Party Sat. April 25th at Slyders Tavern, 836 Watervilet Ave. starting at 11:30. The Browns have the 5th pick in the first round so come out early and see who the Browns pick for the future. Slyders has great food and the BBGD will have door-prizes and 50/50 raffle.
IMPORTANT BANQUET NEWS The BBGD would like to announce that sadly we must cancel this year's annual post-season banquet. A "perfect storm" of bad economy, bad schedule and a bad team led to very poor participation during the past season. Our past two banquets haven't had the turn out we needed and they have lost thousands of dollars. The annual bus trip which has always sold out did not this year and the BBGD were stuck with over 50 tickets that nobody wanted and we lost a lot of money. The fish fry in January didn't have quite the turn out as other years and although we raised $1,000.00 for Greenebucs, the BBGD made no money. Our game day parties were poorly attended and we made very little money from them. Even our end of season chili cook-off had only two contestants, no judges and a very small turnout. The BBGD membership has not changed and remains steady but the club is in financial dire straits. We want to continue to plan events for our club but without participation from the membership it's becoming impossible to do so. We need ideas for future fund raising and would welcome any suggestions or complaints about how the club is being run. SEASON TICKETS FOR SALE The BBGD have a pair of Browns season tickets for sale. They're great seats in SEC. 146, ROW 9, SEATS 3 & 4. Two pre-season and eight regular season games cost $1,000.00. Call Randy @ 937-545-8182.

12th ANNUAL FISH FRY SATURDAY JANUARY 24th 2009 The 12 th Annual B.B.G.D. Fish Fry will be on Sat. Jan. 24, 2009 at the IUE-CWA LOCAL 755 UNION HALL, 1675 WOODMAN DR. IN DAYTON . WE ARE IN DIRE NEED OF VOLUNTEERS AND DOOR PRIZES FOR THIS EVENT. Again this year our proceeds will benefit Greenbucs. On the 3 rd page of this newsletter is a flier. If you know of any business that would be willing to display one, go for it. It doesn't hurt to ask. Also tickets are now available by contacting our message line, (937) 640-DAWG (3294) or by e-mail at info@bbgd.com . Make sure you include your complete address so that we can mail them to you.
Though the score of the game was not what we would have liked to see the party was a blast. Good food, good friends and plenty of beer and prizes. You can check out the pictures right here.
GAMEDAY PARTY SUNDAY OCTOBER 19 AT MILANO'S IN BEAVERCREEK The BBGD will hold its second game day party of the year this Sun. Oct. 19 th at Milano's, 2260 N. Fairfield Rd. (Corner of N. Fairfield and Kemp Rd. ). The party starts at 3:00 with the Browns/Redskins game at 4:15. Milano's has been kind enough to reserve their bar area for us and have plenty of TVs. Besides great food and full service bar, Milano's will run a “Browns Backers special”, a bucket of five of your favorite domestic beers for only $10.00. As always we will have raffles, door prizes and a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Browns/Colts game Nov. 30 th . Support businesses that support us and come out to the BBGD's game day party at Milano's this Sun. Oct. 19 th @ 3:00.
